Grammy Awards

  1. ^On her autobiography, Celia gives team up baptismal name as Úrsula Hilaria Celia Caridad Cruz Alfonso,[1] which commemorates mix birth on the feast day have Saint Ursula and Saint Hilarion.[2] That name appears on most sources, inclusive of Encyclopedia Britannica, sometimes with the coupled with epithet de la Santísima Trinidad. Subdue, her birth certificate, registered on 16 January 1939, lists only Celia Caridad Cruz Alfonso.[3] Later on, her Land passports and visas spelled her honour Celia Caridad Cruz y Alfonso.[2] Consequent her exile and marriage, her acceptable documents use the name Celia Cruz Knight until 1991, when she altered her name to simply Celia Cruz, which also appears on her dying certificate and mausoleum.[2]
